The Oracle Database Consultant will be experienced in database design with comprehensive tuning skills, experience configuring and tuning Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), as well as experience with database migration. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Oracle database design, database and system level tuning and knowledge of Oracle backup & disaster recovery methodologies. The position requires a team-centric attitude, excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oracle database design and tuning skills (Index/table and SQL code)
• Knowledge of and ability to install, configure and tune Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
• A strong understanding of Linux or UNIX Operating Systems at a systems administration level
• OS (Unix to Linux) and Platform (MySQL or MS SQL to Oracle) database migration experience
• Experience with shell script, PL/SQL, SQL programming, Java and JavaScript Working with customers to design high-performance data architectures
• Assist with the review of requirements and ensure developed solutions map to business requirements.
• Manage operating databases and related technologies.
• Conduct testing of the data components.
